Our cushion-backed carpet extends flooring life by up to 50% compared to hardback carpet tile, reducing cost, carbon, and waste. Longer-lasting materials lower demand for virgin resources and enable reuse, allowing partners to clean, resell, or donate carpet tiles and divert them from landfill through tailored sustainability solutions.

Local reclamation solutions with local partners.

We recycle carpet tiles with local partners, achieving a 100% diversion rate. The collected tiles are transformed into fiber plastic panels for outdoor flooring and fencing.

Verified for material health.

Breathe easy knowing our carpet tiles are PVC Free, Verified Red List Free, low VOC, and Cradle to Cradle Silver standard certified for Material Health. It’s a critical pathway to end-of-life product reclamation.

Our commitment

We're committed to transparency. Our Sustainability Report measures our progress, documents our impact, and captures many lessons we've learned at this moment in our journey including our certified commitment to net‑zero. We also disclose 100% of materials down to 100ppm in products with Declare labels. CASE STUDY

A New Life for Waste

In a unique collaboration, Milliken and P&G worked together to innovate a new generation of carpet tile that would incorporate post-consumer waste from P&G’s waste materials for their Beijing Project. The new carpet tile construction has been installed in the North Building of the Innovation Center and has made an important contribution to incorporating P&G waste material and recycled content.

Milliken has partnered with Paris-based carpet maintenance and flooring reuse company, Orak, to provide a second life for our cushion-backed carpet tiles. Through this collaboration, Orak restores used tiles to premium condition and resells them in the local market, supporting our shared commitment to circularity. Partnering with companies like Orak is a key step in developing optimal end-of-life solutions for flooring. This initiative serves as a global pilot for future reuse programs and reinforces our investment in sustainable innovation. We are proud to be Orak’s exclusive manufacturing partner, offering our European customers access to upcycled carpet tile through the N/XT LIFE™ program.
